The Capital National Alliance (CNA) is a strategic alliance between National Corporate Investment Services Limited ABN 38 055 638 474 AFSL No. 230687 (a member of the National Australia Bank Limited ABN 12 004 044 937 group of companies (“National Australia Group”)) and Capital International, Inc., a Los Angeles-based global investment manager. CNA markets Capital International into the wholesale markets in Australia and New Zealand and service Capital International’s clients through the alliance. Capital International is responsible for the management of the clients’ investment portfolios.Investments are made either via separate accounts or through pooled investment vehicles. Investments via separate accounts are serviced by CNA and contracted directly with Capital International. The investments through pooled investment vehicles are made by:
- the investor as a policy-holder in taxed superannuation vehicles (operated by MLC Limited ABN 90 000 000 402 AFSL No. 230694); or,
- directly in non-taxed unit trusts (operated by MLC Investments Limited (“MLCI”) ABN 30 002 641 661 AFSL No. 230705).
MLCI and MLC Limited are members of the National Australia Group.
