2007 Capital National Alliance Breakfast with Capital International

Capital National Alliance hosts an annual breakfast with investment professionals from Capital International. The last conference - themed, Opportunities in Turbulent Markets - was held in December 2007 in both Sydney and Melbourne. The event was very successful with initial group discussions on topical investment issues with three of the Capital International Global Equity portfolio managers, including a focus on the activity in the credit markets. This was followed by the opportunity to break into smaller groups based around specific themes, as follows:

A bottom-up view on U.S. business activity;
What's happening in the financial sector and credit markets. Provocative thoughts on risk, fear & greed;
Opportunities in Asia;
Perspectives on Asian financials / Chinese banks;
Metals and Mining update; and
Global and EAFE PMs discuss their favourite stocks.

The key speakers from Capital International included:

Terry Berkemeier, Portfolio Manager, London
Anita Brar, Investment Specialist, West Los Angeles
Chris Choe, Portfolio Manager, Singapore
Arthur Gromadzki, Portfolio Manger, Geneva
Richard Havas, Portfolio Manager, Singapore
Warren Howe, Analyst, Hong Kong
